This is the 3rd brand new home (three different builders) that we've purchased in the last 15 years. All three have had a similar sales and buying process. Select your lot, select the "hard adds" (that may adjust the square footage and/or floor plan or layout), then have 1-2 "design days" for additional upgrades, etc... That process is well designed and executed by Signature. Friendly faces and people that seem to enjoy their jobs and are good at organization, the follow up emails and calls about appointments and how the process is moving along... "Chris" with warranty and that team was great, until he was moved to another neighborhood and we got a new warranty person for Reed's Vale. The design and aesthetics of a Signature home are fantastic. Great floor plans, expertly curated options for upgrades, the design and layout of the neighborhood, the homes' curb appeal, etc. all great! As for the actual build and the construction of the home, Signature is by far the worst quality of work we've encountered. As great as Signature is with the initial sales and buying process, they're completely opposite in terms of quality. This is from the pace at which the homes are built, the quality of building material being used, the lack of holding the subs to certain standards and their work being properly inspected and held accountable for. Knowing what we know now, I would have still purchased from Signature, in Reeds Vale. I would just have selected a smaller home or lower price point and chosen little to no upgrades from Signature, and then vetted and paid my own contractor for the upgrades we want.
